Two men from Barry are tonight behind bars for possessing with the intention of supplying a large quantity of illegal drugs.
On Saturday 15th July last year, officers from South Wales Police (SWP) executed a search warrant at an address on Porthkerry Road where 50kg of amphetamine was seized and a large amount of cannabis.
SWP have since released body-worn police CCTV footage of the warrant being carried out, which shows officers smashing their way into the premises and an arrest being made:
Further searches were conducted at a house linked to Daniel David and Nathan McKernan where nearly 10kg of cannabis and cash were seized during the investigation. Mobile phones taken during inquiries contained incriminating messages indicative of drug supply.
Both men were arrested, charged and remanded for possession with intent to supply class B drugs, amphetamine and cannabis.
On Friday 22nd December, both men were sentenced following a guilty plea. Nathan McKernan was sentenced to five years and nine months, while Daniel David was sentenced to four years and eight months.
