Barry Dock RNLI lifeboat answers Old Harbour call

THE Barry Dock inshore lifeboat launched to persons in difficulty in the Old Harbour, Barry on Saturday, 24th July.

The volunteer crew launched the inshore lifeboat at around 6.50pm and made their way to the Old Harbour.

Once on scene communication was received from the Barry coastguard team that the casualties were ashore, but medical assistance might be required.

Medical assistance was given until the Welsh Ambulance Service arrived on scene.

Inshore lifeboat helm, John McAllister said it was a great multi agency effort with a swift response from all involved.

To report anyone in difficulty, call 999 and ask for the coastguard.
