COWBRIDGE Rotary Club is planning for the future by forming an under-30 group – the E-Rotoract Club.
At a meeting in the Bear Hotel recently, the club celebrated the formation and ‘chartering’ of E-Rotaract, which joins a ‘Rotary family’ including Rotakids, an Interact club, and a Youth Interact.
The E-Rotaract Club is made up of members from the Cowbridge Comprehensive School Interactors 2019 group.
The charter president, Luke Hinkin-Evans, alongside Rotary members Andrew Lane, Colin Jones and Carol Whiteley, worked on the project and the charter was approved by Rotary International and presented by Rotary Cowbridge president Malcolm Hallewell.
The club has started with 14 members, mainly based in universities around the UK. The new club will allow members to retain links to Cowbridge while studying.
Cowbridge Rotary and Rotaract are members of Rotary International, which has 1.2million members around the world. New members are welcome.
