Chamber Music Festival returns to Llantwit Major

THE Llantwit Major Chamber Music Festival returns this year, presenting four live concerts over three days, 21st-23rd March, all taking place at St Illtud’s Church.

The festival was founded in 2019 by local Welsh cellist Ben Tarlton and continues to offer the community world class music making by professional musicians, all celebrating International careers.

Ben said: “I am lucky enough to be joined by an exceptional line up of musicians this year and know that the concerts will be a wonderful opportunity to experience a real celebration of great music.

“Our outreach work in local schools and care homes has continued to thrive and we look forward to bringing the musicians in for visits the day before the first concert. The pupils we have brought music to over the past few years have shown such enthusiasm and inspiration in their responses and seeing their imaginations light up is always a joy.

“As well as the main festival concerts, we have partnered up with the Worshipful Company of Musicians of London once again to include a concert given by artists on their programme. This year, we are looking forward to a guitar duo concert performed by the Gus & Gonçalo Guitar Duo.

“All details of the concerts and performers are on our website.

“Tickets for the concerts are easy to get hold of, through our website or at Bardic Books on Church Street, Llantwit Major. Alternatively, some tickets may be available on the door.

“We are hugely looking forward to welcoming you to the concerts as the atmosphere created by our local audience members is what makes the festival so unique!”
