THE Glamorgan Star team were thoroughly impressed with our visit to the new Hickory’s Smokehouse in St Mellons.
We were fortunate to be seated at the Chef’s Bar. What an incredible experience! It was fascinating to watch the talented chefs in action, and we were even given a tour of the smoking ovens after our meal, which was a real highlight.
The food was outstanding, with generous portions full of flavour. I had the Pigs ’n’ Chick, which was so delicious that I took the rest home in the lovely takeaway box they provide. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our evening special.
The restaurant itself has a fantastic atmosphere, complete with thoughtful touches like a cinema room and even a popcorn machine! It’s definitely worth booking in advance, this place is bound to become very popular.
