Welcome to a day of fun with the Scouts and Guides

Event reminder

THE Scouts and Girl Guides of Barry are pleased to be back on Saturday for their 68th Scout and Guide Fete at Romilly Park in Barry.

This year, thousands of people are expected to descend on the event for a family day-out and anyone aged 4-plus can also look to join in with the re-attempt during the opening ceremony where the Scouts and Guides aim to break the current world record for the largest human fleur-de-lis made up of more than 445 people.

Scouting and Girl Guiding has grown over the last two years, but could be growing more. They have children wanting to join but need more adult volunteers to give a fantastic experience. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or helping in any way, please speak to any leader around the fete, alternatively email .uk or register your interest on www.girlguiding.org.uk

It is hoped that you can come and support the young Scouts and Guides at this year’s fete and help them raise funds so they can continue to grow in Barry.

Entry to the fete is by a programme costing £2 in advance from your local group, which includes a free lucky prize draw, or £3 at the gate on the day.
