Vale of Glamorgan Football League round up

St Athan and Penarth hang on to 100% records

Holton Road remain the early pace setters in the premier division, as they picked up their fourth win in five games by seeing off Cardiff Airport 3-1. Dan Morgan came off the bench to bag a brace.

St Athan continued their perfect start to the campaign by making it four out of four with a 3-2 victory over Cadoxton Barry, Josh Harfoot grabbing the decisive goal in a thriller.

Penarth Town also hold a 100% record as they saw off reigning champions Island Marine 3-0, Adam Nilsen once again amongst the goals.

Ty Newydd turned on the style to romp to a 6-1 victory over Cowbridge Town, Tom Parsons bagging a hat-trick.

In Division One there were only two games. Holton Road B edged out Vale Madrid, despite ending the game with nine men as Kyle Taylor scored twice to help Holton B to all three points.

BV B were victorious over St Athan C 4-2 to pick up their first win of the season, Jack Collins scoring twice to ensure the point.

The Vale league returns Saturday with a full fixture list with more twists and turns assured. Next week’s match of the day is sure to be Cadoxton Barry vs Holton Road at Bryn Y Don.
