THIS was a hard-fought under-21 game in the FAW National Reserve League South West which saw the points shared in Cardiff as top of the table Llantwit Major travelled to third-placed Caerau Ely.
Llantwit opened the scoring on 20 minutes through Josh Morgan, who broke through one on one and finished calmly. Caerau Ely hit back quickly, equalising in the 22nd minute.
Early in the second half, Kofi Rowe restored Llantwit’s lead with a superb lifted finish from a wide angle in the 47th minute. But the hosts levelled again late on, scoring in the 80th minute to make it 2–2.
A competitive match throughout and a fair result on the balance of play.
Llantwit Major team: Craythorne, Bacon, Price, Armstrong (capt), Morris (Kearton 85), Podgorski, Thomas (Wakeham 85), Emanuel, Morgan, Baker, Rowe. Subs not used: Newsham, Davies.
