Barry art gallery will showcase local artists:
Artists around the Vale will be showcasing their talents at a local gallery this Christmas.
The Art Central Gallery in Barry is hosting the Art/Craft Central, open from 26th November to 24th December. The Vale Council is working with the Barry-based creative agency Inc – Creative / Creadigol to organise the exhibition.
The gallery searched for locals working in painting, printmaking, glass, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, basketry, printmaking, or wood, to show their work and sell to the public in the run up to Christmas.
Confirmed artists include Penarth based artists – Sasha Kingston, Nia Bennett, Haf Weighton, and maker Nina Lazarou from Barry.
Inc Creative/Creadigol representative Michael Goode said: “We are looking forward to showcasing the work of a range of artists based in the Vale in the period running up to Christmas. It will be a chance for the public to discover and purchase original work in the unique setting of the Art Central gallery in the centre of Barry.”
The Art Central Gallery is accessed via the library at the Town Hall, King Square, Barry CF63 4RWB. (See location map below)
