SPORT – Barry RFC Firsts find a new home

BARRY RFC first team return to league action on Saturday, after a gap of six weeks.
The Bombers host Rhydyfelin in an Admiral National League Division One East Central fixture, with the match being played on the all-weather pitch at Ysgol Bro Morgannwg (2.30pm).
The team was last in action on 25th November, a 19-10 defeat at Ynysybwl, and the three scheduled December home matches were called off because of problems with the main pitch at the club’s Reservoir Field ground.
The matches against Abercwmboi and Cambrian Welfare were postponed because of waterlogging on the main pitch, the cause of which is still being investigated. The match against Rhiwbina fell victim to frost.
All remaining home fixtures are set to be played at Ysgol Bro Morgannwg, with Abercynon the next scheduled opponents there on 20th January.
