Could you be a champion for your community?
At the top of our front page, you will find the Glamorgan Star’s masthead and mission statement emphasising that our aim is to be your truly local newspaper at the heart of our community.
Sometimes, when tragic events dominate the news, or when toxic arguments rage on social media, it is easy to forget that ‘community’ still exists. But life does go on, with local residents dealing with day- to- day events in their own towns and villages.
All the events and interactions that make up normal life are starting to pick up again after Covid and never has looking out for our fellow neighbours and villagers been more important. Community is after all, the backbone of the Country.
The Glamorgan Star is looking for local people to become regular Star contributors highlighting their community life. We are interested in regular updates on all types of local events – all the things that keep a community together.
It’s a chance to highlight all the good things that happen in your area, so please get in touch and become one of our trusted local contributors. This is the people’s community newspaper and who better to share important issues and happy events than local people?
To get in touch contact Philip Irwin or Sharon Harris who will be delighted to hear from you.
