250 dropped kerbs in for Porthcawl:
An Active Travel scheme in Porthcawl is to create 250 dropped kerb crossings at a cost of £400,000.
The works are being done on a street-by-street basis in residential areas near the seafront and are expected to be complete in March 2023.
A Bridgend County Borough Council (BCBC) spokesperson said: “The £400,000 project will bring many benefits for local residents and will improve accessibility at junctions for wheelchair users, prams and cyclists.
Cllr John Spanswick, BCBC cabinet member for Communities, said: “It’s very important that we have the right infrastructures in place as we want to make it as easy as possible for our residents to travel around the whole of Bridgend county borough in a way that’s better for the planet.”
