
NEW food hygiene ratings of five-out-of-five have been awarded to 11 Vale establishments in April, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
Restaurants, cafes and canteens
The following ratings have been given to seven restaurants, cafes or canteens:
• Rated 5: Sully Inn at The Boathouse 4 Cog Road
• Rated 5: Wongs at Wong’s Chinese Takeaway 108 Broad Street.
• Rated 5: Sundowners Champagne Bar at Champagne Bar, Esplanade.
• Rated 5: Cionis Bistro at Cioni Bistro Cliff Parade, Penarth.
• Rated 5: Cosmeston Lakes Cafe at Cosmeston Cafe Cosmeston Country Park.
• Rated 5: Dinas Powys Library.
Pubs, bars and nightclubs
Four ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:
• Rated 5: Fox and Hounds at Llancarfan.
• Rated 5: Captain’s Wife (Vintage Inns) at Beach Road, Swanbridge
• Rated 5: Rhoose & District Social Club.
• Rated 5: Railway Hotel, 1 Plymouth Road, Penarth
