Llantwit tennis club makes a strong start
LLANTWIT Major Tennis Club made a great start to the mixed doubles South Wales winter league last week, beating Stow Park 3-1.
Many thanks to Alex Faulkner who stood in at the last minute for star player Fraser Prior, who was badly injured during a football match the previous day.
The new partnership of Dawn Howells and Alex proved unbeatable and they stormed to a 2-0 win. Second pairing Paul Flanders and Vicki McNally won one match out of two, enough to win the meeting and go to the top of the league.
