Man named after fatal crash in Rhoose
A motorcyclist who died following a road traffic collision in Rhoose has been named as 21-year-old Jordon Talbot from Radyr, Cardiff.
The collision involving a car, motorbike, and heavy goods vehicle happened at around 5.20am on Tuesday, 23rd November between the Rhoose roundabout and the British Airways Maintenance Centre roundabout on the A4226.
A South Wales Police spokesman said: “A white Vauxhall Astra, a blue Honda motorcycle, and a heavy goods vehicle were involved in a collision.
“As a result of the collision and despite the best efforts of attending emergency services the 21-year-old man who was the rider of the motorcycle was declared dead at the scene.”
The driver of the Vauxhall Astra, a 53-year-old woman, was taken to hospital where she received medical treatment.
The deceased man’s family have released the following moving tribute:
“We are all completely devastated with sudden loss of Jordan. He was such a bright, intelligent and happy young man that had his whole future ahead of him.
“He was simply riding his motorcycle to work to do his dream job at Aston Martin when the collision occurred.
“He had worked so hard to get this job and he knew how proud we all were of him.
“He was such a kind, loving person and had a wicked sense of humour, always laughing or cracking jokes around the house. Everybody who knew him did not have a bad word to say.
“In his short life he had touched so many people and left behind so many happy memories that we will forever cherish.
“As a family we would like to thank everybody for their kind words and support but would particularly like to thank all the emergency service at the scene who tried to help Jordan.”
South Wales Police is continuing to appeal for witnesses to the collision asking anyone with information, or has dash cam footage that may assist the investigation, to contact them by one of the following methods quoting reference number: 2100410553.
