Met Office Yellow Weather Warning
The Met Office has issued a Yellow Weather Warning for today and overnight, saying: “Coastal gales and frequent showers. Winds easing overnight.
“Today, very windy day with frequent showers, these heavy and mixed with hail, and wintry over higher ground. The showers will band together to give more prolonged downpours, especially during the afternoon. Gales continuing near west and southwestern coasts. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
“Tonight: Strong winds and scattered showers at first. The winds will ease a little overnight and the showers become increasingly isolated, with some dry and clear spells in places by morning. Minimum temperature 2 °C.”
