Young Pencoed players are unbeaten on Ospreys ‘taster day’
ON Saturday, 7th March, on the day Scotland produced an unbelievable performance against France, Pencoed RFC held a Ospreys region under-17s transition day, where under-16s combine with first year youth to get a taste of youth rugby.

With 10 teams from the Ospreys region taking the field from 11.30am, there was plenty of rugby to watch. The youth games continued until 3.30pm. Pencoed had four games against Bridgend Athletic, Mumbles, Loughor and Trebanos – winning all four. Pencoed team manager Jack Jones said that the Pencoed team played very well, scoring some great tries.
Continuing a good day for Pencoed, the senior First XV played Morriston RFC at 2.30pm on the main pitch, winning 40 – 29.
It was a day full of rugby at the club, with a barbecue and the Six Nations as well.
