Sully Sailing Club recently opened its gates to the public for its annual open day.
Sixty-plus visitors were greeted with sunshine and a gentle breeze, perfect conditions to experience a ride in a dinghy or catamaran, with the club’s experienced helms taking individuals and whole families out.

Those feeling confident enough were encouraged to ‘take the helm’ under supervision by steering the boats and pulling the ropes to feel the joy and freedom of being powered just by the wind. Once back on shore, visitors were treated to a tasty barbecue.
Overall, it was a great day that has generated interest in the club. Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped make this happen.
