WITH Barry RFC hit by injuries and unavailability during the last week of the school holidays, the Bombers’ first match of the new Admiral National League Division One East Central campaign, at Abercwmboi on Saturday (2nd September), has been called off.
The fixture at promoted Abercwmboi will have to be rearranged for later in the season. Whatever the result then, Barry will be deducted two points. The Bombers now start their league season at Cambrian Welfare on 16th September.
With Dinas Powys having been relegated at the end of last season, Barry now play in an 11-team division. The Bombers were due a bye on 9th September but have filled that gap by arranging a match at Cardiff Met.
