CARDIFF Airport Reserves maintained their perfect start to the campaign as they edged Penarth Town 1-0 at Ceri Road, Ethan Galsworthy scoring the crucial goal.
Nathan Evans grabbed a 90th minute equaliser for Vale United Reserves as they ensured a share of the points against St Athan. Jac Wisenden had put St Athan in front in the first half but after a back and fore contest, a draw was a fair result.
It was a thriller at the Buttrills as Cadoxton Imps and AFC Rhoose played out a 3-3 draw. Dean McCarthy put Imps ahead but John Davies-Ashton levelled. Ethan McInery then restored the lead in the second half but once again Rhoose equalised, this time through Ashley Ashill. McCarthy thought he had won it for Imps after scoring with 10 minutes to go, however, Conor Wilson got that all important goal to ensure a draw in dramatic fashion in the 92nd minute.
In the Championship, the game of the day was between Peterston Super Ely and Rhoose Social, and what a game it was! Social took the lead through Bradley Stait but Matt Reynolds quickly levelled for Peterston. Luke Windsor restored Social’s lead but Henry Adams scored twice to send Peterson into half time in front. Chris Morgan got Social back on level terms and then Ryan Harris saw them retake the lead. James Revers brought the game level again for Peterston but quickly Social led again through sub Richard Davies with 15 minutes left.
With 10 minutes to go, Lewis Evans converted from the spot to make it 5-5 and then with five minutes left, Shaun Scott put Peterston back into the lead. Just when Peterston thought they’d won it Scott McMillan equalised for Social on 87 minutes. A draw would have been for after this classic but Richard Davies had other ideas as he hit the 90th minute winner and his second of the game to win it for Social 7-6.
After that all time classic, there were more thrillers in the division. Cogan Coronation Reserves came back from 2-0 and 3-1 down against Cwm Talwg to draw 3-3. Veterans Dan Humphries and Nathan Self scored the goals to ensure a point.
Elsewhere, another six goals were shared as Vale Madrid came back from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 with Island Marine Reserves thanks to a late Gareth Messer penalty.
In the Ceri Road derby, Cardiff Airport Vets saw off AFC Rhoose Development 3-1, James Dixon scoring twice as Airport take the derby spoils.
Barry Athletic Reserves came from 2-0 down against St Athan Reserves to win 5-2, Teejay Caton and Mason Lewis both getting a brace each for Athletic.
Dinas Powys Development continued their free scoring start to the season as they demolished Holton Road Reserves, James Lloyd hitting five goals in the romp.
St Athan Development made it two wins from two as they saw off Ely Rangers Reserves Wenvoe 3-1, Morgan Thomas, Dylan Owen and Nicky Cleave with the goals.
Cowbridge Town came back from two goals down against Porthkerry Panthers to draw 2-2, Dan Barnett and Owain Harry gave Panthers the advantage but James Allen and Joe Watts pulled the goals back for Cowbridge.
Finally, Barry Athletic Development bounced back from last week in style with a 5-1 win over Cadoxton Imps Reserves.
