Unidentified bones discovered at a Vale beauty spot

A South Wales Police (SWP) cordon has been placed at a local beauty spot near Monknash following the discovery of bones.

After walkers reported coming across the remains, SWP officers attended the scene at around 1.30pm yesterday (20th July).

A section of coast path has reportedly been closed off to allow an investigation to begin and to identify what exactly the type of bones are.

A SWP spokesperson said: “The bones will be extracted and sent for analysis.

“The area is currently cordoned off for examination and will likely remain for a few days.”

No further information is available at this time.
