PENCOED opened the scoring after 15 minutes with a try under the posts from Reuben Lewis, with Iwan Powell converting.
Lucas Richards soon added a second out wide. For the third try, combined handling from forwards and backs saw Powell cross. Within minutes, skipper Powell had completed his hat trick – a solo effort for his second and a jinking finish for the third, adding two conversions. Prior to the interval home loose head prop Mason Curry powered over for their sixth try.

Pencoed led 36-0 at the break, the plucky Bryncethin side having done their utmost to stem the tide. The home side made a host of squad changes at this juncture. Early in the second half Pencoed tight head prop Thomas Whittingham drove over to score.
Then, to their credit, Bryncethin scored a well-deserved try, Luke Barlow showing good skills with a kick and chase from 40 metres. Sam Watkins then got a home score before Seth Mannion went over in the corner for Bryncethin’s second try.
Pencoed’s Wil Davies scored the final try in what was a far more even second half. Pencoed now top the group F table of the Ospreys league with 14 points
