Repair café celebrates its fourth anniversary
Repair café celebrates its fourth anniversary:
Still going strong after four years of operation, Llantwit Major’s Repair Cafe, based at Bethel Baptist Church, continues to offer a useful service to the community.
The café regulars repair or provide general advice on household items such as small electrical, toys, fabrics, bicycles, ornaments etc at no charge.
The volunteers had a quiet celebration of this milestone on Saturday, 8th October. Part of the Repair Cafe Wales organisation, it is one of the first cafes to be formed in Wales. The network has now grown to more than 90 across the nation. It has also assisted in the formation of the Cowbridge Repair Cafe, and some of its ‘fixers’ have assisted elsewhere in south Wales.
It operates monthly on the second Saturday from 10am to noon. Everyone is welcome!
