CANCELLED MATCH – Barry RFC hit as opponents cancel Saturday games:
It’s a blank weekend for Barry RFC’s First and Youth teams, both seeing their scheduled matches against Rhiwbina called off.
The Bombers were due to visit Rhiwbina in the Admiral National League Division 1 East Central, but The Squirrels’ Caedelyn Park pitch has been ruled unplayable following recent bad weather.
Barry were last in action on 27th October, a 20-12 home league victory over Mountain Ash. Their next scheduled fixture is on 3rd December, when Treorchy are due to visit the Reservoir Field.
Barry’s Youth team had been expecting to entertain Rhiwbina in a WRU Regional Youth Cup match, but the visitors have called off because they are unable to field a team.
In the WRU National Youth Cup Barry have been drawn at home to Neath Athletic in the last 16. The tie will be played on Saturday 3rd December.
Both teams had convincing victories in the previous round, Barry winning 48-12 at Wrexham, and Neath Athletic beating Pontypool United 52-0 at home.
