FOR the second season in a row, Pencoed Cricket Club has been promoted after an eight-wicket win over Machen.
It was the McCutcheon Brothers who caused problems for the Machen batsmen with Scott taking 4-10 and Simon 2-15, along with captain Rhys Morgan’s 2-4.
When Pencoed batted, a 61-run opening partnership from Alex Frewen (25) and Gareth Williams (31*) saw secure promotion.
Congratulations go to Cardiff Fourths on finishing top of the table. They had two close games with Pencoed during the season. Pencoed now take a break and are already looking forward to 2025. The presentation night for Pencoed Cricket club is on 12th October at Pencoed RFC. All are welcome to celebrate their successful session with the team.
