Headteacher Andrew Gilbert said: “Mrs Lane has been an integral part of the school community, touching the lives of countless pupils and families. Her remarkable commitment and genuine love for both the school and its children have left an indelible mark.

“Over the decades, she has witnessed generations of her own family pass through our doors; a true testament to her deep connection with Albert Primary. She has helped shape the learning journeys of hundreds of children, inspiring them to achieve their best.”

Staff gathered for a warm and intimate retirement tea to celebrate the remarkable career of Mrs Lane. The event was filled with laughter, fond memories, and heartfelt gratitude for her years of dedication.

As a token of appreciation, she was presented with a stunning engraved fruit bowl by the Parent Teacher Association (SOAP) on behalf of all the children and their families.

Mr Gilbert added: “As she embarks on this new chapter, everyone associated with the school extends heartfelt gratitude and warmest wishes for a wonderful retirement.

“Thank you, Mrs Lane, for your years of dedication and for being such an extraordinary part of our school’s story.”
