FOLLOWING an excellent Estyn report in June this year, pupils, parents, teachers and governors at Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg were celebrating A-Level results that rank among the best in the school’s history.
Overall, 98% of pupils achieved three A*-E grades. 82% of grades were awarded at A*-C, with a third of all grades at A*-A. 20% of pupils achieved three A*-A grades, while over a quarter gained at least two A*-A grades. More pupils studied the Welsh Baccalaureate qualification this year, with 30% attaining A*-A grades. Of the 37 pupils who studied A-Level mathematics, 73% achieved grades A*-A.

The school would like to extend special congratulations to the three pupils who have secured places at the University of Oxford/Cambridge. In addition, congratulations to Wil Thomas, who received an offer to study at Oxford but has chosen instead to accept an offer to study Computer Science at Stanford University, USA.

These results are a testament to their hard work, dedication and perseverance over a sustained period.”
