THE Barry Final is set after Barry Athletic came through 5-2 against Penarth Town.
Athletic had to come back from 1-2 down but doubles from Theo Savva, Tom Halliday and one more from talisman Morgan Hawkins saw the league leaders through to the Jenner Park showpiece.
There they will play title rivals Cardiff Airport, who needed a last gasp equaliser against Island Marine from Archie Jones deep into stoppage time to force a penalty shootout, and Airport came out 5-4 winners from the spot kicks.
AFC Rhoose v St Athan
In the Premier Division, AFC Rhoose took a vital point in their bid for survival as they drew 3-3 with St Athan. However, they could have had more as they were 3-0 up but conceded in the final minutes. The point lifts Rhoose off the foot of the table.
Vale United v Cwm Talwg
Vale United slip to the bottom of the table as they went down 2-1 to Cwm Talwg, Conor Wilson scoring twice in the victory for third place Talwg.
Vale Madrid v Cadoxton Imps
Vale Madrid sit two points ahead of Rhoose and Vale United as they lost out to Cadoxton Imps in a fiery encounter. Dean McCarthy converted a penalty to win it, while both saw men dismissed with Imps finishing with 10 and Vale Madrid with nine.
Cogan Coronation v Porthkerry Panthers
In the Championship, Cogan Coronation put themselves in pole position for the title as they saw off Porthkerry Panthers 5-2 with Sam Reid, Kellan Allison and Ben Hutchinson the goal scorers. Second place Barry Athletic Reserves were held 1-1 by Vale Athletic, leaving them now six points off Cogan.
Dinas Powys v Rhoose Social
Dinas Powys picked up a massive win over fellow title chasers Rhoose Social winning 3-2. That victory sees Dinas go third, seven points off the top with two games in hand.
Cardiff Airport Vets v St Athan Reserves
Cardiff Airport Vets moved fourth with a 7-1 rout over Cowbridge Town, Jack Davies scoring four goals. Peterston Super Ely moved back to sixth as they edged out St Athan Reserves 3-2, thanks to Jon Wooten’s late winner.
AFC Rhoose v Island Marine Reserves
AFC Rhoose Development stay bottom after losing out to Island Marine Reserves 1-0 after an 89th minute winner from Finley Martin.
Sparta Park v Cadoxton Imps
In League One, it was business as usual as Sparta Park got back to winning ways after last week’s draw with a 4-0 win over Cadoxton Imps.
Penarth Town Dev v Barry Athletic Dev
Penarth Town Development sit second, clinging onto Sparta’s coat-tails after a 7-1 demolition of Barry Athletic Development, with Louis Angove getting a hat trick. This sees Penarth four points off Sparta but having played two games more.
Sully Sports Development move third with a 7-1 dismantling of St Athan Development while Ely Rangers Wenvoe hit four past Island Marine Development without reply, and finally, Vale of Glamorgan Rovers picked up an impressions 3-0 win over FC Barry.
