A POPULAR charity beer festival that first took place before the pandemic returns this September.
Organised by Barry Round Table, a community group for young men who are known best for the Barry Santa Sleigh – the festival will give locals a chance to sample 20 local beers, and also ciders and gins made in south Wales.
Barry Round Table chairman Nick Critten said: “We are thrilled with the support for the Barry Beer Festival and its return. We have a great range of beers, gins and ciders across our bars and some great live bands for everyone to enjoy.”
“All money raised from the weekend will be redistributed to local good causes, community groups and charities in the Barry area.”
The festival will take place at the Sausage Revolution on Barry Docks over three days from 15th September to 17th September, with live music each evening.
Friday evening sees local performers Matt Blumberg and Jodana Weekly take to the stage, whilst Saturday has performances from ‘Me + Him’ and a return for 2019 headliners ‘12Bore’ – back by popular demand. Sunday will feature music from the classic rock and blues band ‘High Mileage’.
