‘Utterly brilliant’ Timmy cycles through the Vale… Blaaah!
Children’s TV star to all ages, Timmy Mallett travelled through the Vale yesterday on a bicycle and made several special visits to Barry Island and Llantwit Major before making his way up to Porthcawl.
All part of a tour of the coastline of the UK, the once massive 1980’s icon and hero of many children watching morning TV made a special trip to Barry Island and, of course, Marco’s Café. He paid tribute to the cast of Gavin and Stacy whilst pictured in front of the infamous mural of the stars.

Notorious for many catchphrases, including ‘Uterly Brilliant’ and ‘Blaaah!’, Timmy then made his way over to Llantwit Major to the stadium of Llantwit Major AFC and gave praise to the club’s achievements whilst stood in front of the club house building.
‘Mallet Man’ Timmy’s bike ride started in March this year and will end sometime in July. He says he simply could not go abroad due to lockdown and came up with the idea of travelling the UK instead.
