Colour run makes fundraising fun for pupils

PUPILS at St Joseph’s Primary had a great day in the sunshine when the Friends and Family group at the school organised a colour run.

The organisers set out an obstacle course and as the pupils raced around it, they were sprayed with water and had a kaleidoscope of coloured powder thrown over them. Carefully sourced, non-toxic, powder of course.

The children completed the run and received a finisher’s medal before heading to the refreshment tent for a drink and snacks. When all the children had crossed the finishing line, the adult helpers tackled the course and were soaked and coloured by the older pupils!

The school’s headteacher, Laura Taylor, said: “Today was a fantastic celebration. Every pupil at St joseph’s is unique and special and the colour run has helped them feel a sense of identity and belonging to our wonderful school community.”
