A time to remember (and celebrate) Marie Curie

THIS year, on Sunday 3rd March it will be a special day for the Marie Curie charity as it holds its fourth annual Day of Reflection – a special moment to remember everyone who died during the pandemic.

The charity is encouraging everyone to take part in a minute’s silence, share the name of who you’re remembering on the day, and plan a reflective event or activity.

Here in Wales, Marie Curie has come to be identified with the daffodil and every year around this time, it is also an opportunity to remember and celebrate the work of the charity.

The sheer range of services that it offers is breath-taking. The Marie Curie hospices have an outstanding reputation, while the work done by the charity’s nurses – helping people stay in their homes as long as possible – is internationally renowned.

The charity runs a support line and bereavement service (both on 0800 090 2309) and so many other services.

Right now 1 in 4 people don’t get the care they need at the end of life. With your support, we can help bring end of life care and support to everyone who needs it.
