BBC Radio 4 show heads to Sully
THE long-running Radio 4 show, Gardeners’ Question Time (GQT) is to be hosted by the Sully & District Gardening Society on Tuesday, 24th February.
GQT is one of the BBC’s most cherished and enduring radio programmes. First broadcast in 1947, it has continued uninterrupted for nearly eight decades, earning its place as one of the longest-running factual radio shows in the world.
Originally titled How Does Your Garden Grow?, the broadcast drew inspiration from the wartime “Dig for Victory” campaign, which urged households to cultivate their own food during the Second World War.
This BBC show will be recorded in The Old School, Sully. Doors will be open from 5pm and the event will run from 6pm to 8pm. Tickets are £4 per head. Further details and tickets are available via email
