Police escort plane from St Athan to Heathrow
DRIVERS, passengers and pedestrians must not have believed their eyes on seeing an aeroplane being escorted by traffic police on roads through the Vale of Glamorgan yesterday.
South Wales Police (SWP) road policing team were tasked with the safe escort of an aircraft’s fuselage from St Athan to Heathrow Airport on Wednesday, 8th February, where it is to be repurposed for cabin crew training.
SWP have given thanks to all motorists for helping them along the journey.
