Ruth pops into Marco’s
Ruth pops into Marco’s:
Ruth Jones MBE popped into Barry Island recently (22nd December) bringing along special guests for afternoon coffee in Marco’s Cafe.
Affectionately known as Vanessa “Nessa” Jenkins in the BBCs hit series Gavin and Stacey, the actress, writer, and comedian fulfilled a pledge made to a Bridgend-based charity.

Cafe owner, Marco Zeraschi told the Glamorgan Star: “Ruth had taken part in a charity auction and she offered a prize of an afternoon coffee with her in Gavin and Stacey’s best-known location. Two ladies had bid for her and they came along, together with a representative of the charity, and enjoyed spending time with us!”
More details on this will be included in our 12th January printed edition.
