A BARRY-BASED scooter rider will visit the capital cities of three of the UK’s nations to raise funds for an air orientated charity.
Jason Ude, 50, who works at Dow in Barry, will visit Cardiff, London, and Edinburgh to support the Wales Air Ambulance.
He has so far raised more than £1000.
Mr Ude, a member of Distant Echo Scooter Club, will be accompanied by Ricky Williams, 35, of Bridgend.
Mr Ude said: “I have been doing charity runs on my scooter for a few years now.
“I will ride my Vespa GTS 250 scooter through three capital cities and three countries and cover 956.5 miles to raise money for the Wales Air Ambulance.
“I have chosen to do this as they only get funding through donations from people like myself so I had to do it.
“This run I will be accompanied by Ricky Williams 35 from Bridgend who will be riding his 300cc scooter and doing The Iron Butt Challenge back-to-back with the Three Nation Capital Charity Scooter Run.
“We are both really looking forward to the challenge.”
