All Saints pupils meet the skateboarding Reverend
The children in year-3 to year-6 at All Saints CIW Primary School in Barry had the chance to try skateboard sessions with Sam from Skateboard Academy UK.
During the workshops the children learnt how to skate safely, and the importance of perseverance.
They had great fun learning how to stand, balance, ride, turn, and stop on their skateboards. They also learnt how to perform a range of stationary and moving tricks and some even managed to go on to use ramps and learn more complex skills.
We were also very fortunate to have Reverend Emma from All Saints Church join us for one of these sessions. It was fantastic to see her join in with the workshop and she amazed the children with her incredible skills.
We would like to thank Sam for all his hard work. The sessions truly inspired the children, and we may have the next Sky Brown or Tony Hawk in our school!
