Vale MP hails booster jab programme
VALE MP Alun Cairns has urged everyone eligible in the Vale of Glamorgan to get their Covid vaccine booster jab.
Speaking after his own booster jab at Barry Holm View Mass Vaccination Centre on today, 16th December, Mr Cairns said: “It is vitally important that you get boosted, not just to protect yourself but others too. Promising early evidence shows that a booster jab offers great protection against infection as well as serious illness.
‘It was so easy to get my jab today, I was in and out within minutes, it was really efficient. I want to thank everyone at Holm View for their hard work, they really are doing an utterly amazing job in trying to jab as many people as they can.
“I am still pushing the Local Health Board to open a mass vaccination centre in the western Vale. Some people have to travel all the way to Barry to get a jab and it needs to be more accessible. Hopefully this can be achieved soon.
“My final message is just to get boosted now, it is so important in our latest fight in the pandemic that you get the booster jab.”
