A FOOTBALL round up of football from around the Vale of Glamorgan, including Vale of Glamorgan AFL Premier Division, Vale of Glamorgan AFL Championship, and Vale of Glamorgan AFL League One.

Cwm Talwg FC 3–1 St Athan – Newly promoted Cwm Talwg shocked last season’s top contenders St Athan defeating them 3-1. 

Penarth Town FC 1–2 Barry Athletic – Barry Athletic edged out Penarth in a tight contest to secure a valuable away win to inflict a first league defeat on Penarth. 

Cardiff Airport FC Reserves 2–0 Island Marine FC – A solid defensive display gave Cardiff Airport Reserves a clean sheet and all three points to make it two wins from two. 

Cadoxton Imps AFC (Firsts) 4–2 Vale United FC Reserves – A six-goal thriller ended in favour of Cadoxton Imps, who looked sharp in front of goal.

Vale of Glamorgan AFL Championship 

Cowbridge Town AFC 1–2 Cogan Coronation AFC Reserves – Cogan Coronation grabbed a narrow win in a close-fought game. 

Island Marine FC Reserves 3–7 Dinas Powys FC Development – Dinas Powys Development came back from 3-0 down to hit seven past Island Marine Reserves in an attacking masterclass.

Rhoose Social FC 5–3 Porthkerry Panthers FC – Goals galore as Rhoose Social held off a spirited Panthers side.

Cardiff Airport Vets FC 3–3 AFC Rhoose Development – Airport Vets scores twice in injury time to salvage a point in a a thrilling draw in a six-goal encounter. 

Vale of Glamorgan AFL League One 

Penarth Town Development 1–3 Llantwit Major Thirds – Llantwit Major continued their good form with a convincing away win.

Holton Road AFC Reserves 0–6 Sully Sports FC Development – Sully Sports were rampant, cruising to a dominant six-goal victory.

FC Barry 3–1 Island Marine FC Development – FC Barry saw off Island Marine to make it two from two. 

Vale of Glamorgan Rovers 5–2 Cadoxton Imps AFC (Seconds) – The Rovers put on an attacking display to claim their first ever Vale league win. 

Sparta Park FC 6–0 Ely Rangers FC Reserves Wenvoe – Sparta Park were clinical and ruthless in a commanding win as they made it three wins from three to set the pace at the top of the league early. 

St Athan Development 0–5 Barry Athletic Development – A rough day for St Athan Development as Barry Athletic Development hit five without reply.
