Cowbridge Old girls’ school campaigners go to court
Public Meeting - Wednesday 27th September
CAMPAIGNERS who want to stop the demolition of the Old Girls’ Grammar School building on Aberthin Road, Cowbridge, will be in court next week.
A Judicial Review hearing will take place in the Cardiff Administrative Court on Wednesday, 27th September.
A spokesperson for the SAVE Cowbridge Old Girls’ School group said: “The time won’t be released until closer to the day but it is likely to start in the morning. It is a public hearing so all supporters are invited to attend and listen to the case. The court address is 2 Park Street, Cardiff CF10 1ET. As details are released, they will be put on the campaign Facebook page and website.”
The campaigners believe that the building can be retained and converted into flats, rather than demolished for new housing to be built.
The spokesperson added: “The fundraising target for this stage of the process is £20,000 and the current total stands at just over £12,000. We are really grateful to all the individuals and businesses who have donated as every pound helps. A final push this week will help us reach the total in time for next week.
