Rotarians signal start of virtual charity duck race

This years’ race will be a virtual one, as was in 2020, and will be broadcast via the club’s Facebook page at 5.00pm on Saturday, 18th September.

Ducks are £1 each to sponsor with this year’s proceeds going towards the purchase of a defibrillator, and helping to support local charities, and worthy causes.

The first prize is £100, second prize £50 and third prize £25.

The Rotary team will be setting-up their stall at venues over the next seven weeks, where you can sponsor a duck.

Current dates and locations where ducks can be sponsored are Barry Asda from 10.00am to 4.00pm on 31st July; and the Knap Gardens, from 10.00am to 4.00pm on 7th and 8th July.

Online sponsoring of ducks will be available from 30th July and you can ask a Rotarian.

Barry Rotary is also looking for volunteers.
