Barry rowers set out for Grand Canal
THE rowers from Barry Yacht Club are off on another adventure. This time it is to Venice to takes part in the Vogalonga on Sunday.

This annual event has been running since 1975 and involves a 30km row round the islands of Venice, with up to 2,000 boats taking part. With the start in front of St Marks Square and the finish down the Grand Canal, it promises to be a row to remember.
A road crew will be towing the group’s Celtic longboats down to Venice, a three-day journey and nine of the 12 crew members are pictured.
A big thank you goes to James Simpson (logistics) and Charlotte Hopkins (captain) for making it all happen.
