Schools celebrate St David’s Day
St David’s Day is here, with celebrations taking place throughout the Vale of Glamorgan in honour of the patron saint of Wales taking place today.
Recognised annually since the 12th century, the Welsh occasion celebrates our patron saint and marks the date of St David’s supposed death in 589AD.
Children throughout the Vale of Glamorgan have been joining in the celebration by attending school in traditional costume.
Childre of Ysgol Sant Curig in Barry were no exception and were delighted to attend school this morning dressed up in their national costume.
