A broad mix of Welsh heritage buses that once ran from the 1960s will be operating giving free rides to visitors on a selection of routes around Barry town. Mike Taylor, the group’s chairman said: “This year will mark our third Autumn Running Day and we will be operating a mixture of former Welsh company buses and those that once ran with former councils or in the early days of Cardiff Bus. We hope the weather will be good so we can also operate one of our heritage Open Top buses.

“Barry Depot will be open from 10am for visitors to look at the progress on our vehicle restoration projects, and visit sales stalls on the day.”

On Sunday 14th September, the Bus Depot (Cardiff Transport Preservation Group), 104 Broad Street in Barry will be open from 10am. Free trips are all day until 4pm. Timetables will be available for £1. All travel is free but donations are welcome and will support the group’s heritage restoration projects.
