Gavin and Stacey to return for last ever episode
FOLLOWING many rumours of the much loved BBC hit comedy returning to the streets of Barry, James Corden has confirmed there will be one final episode of Gavin and Stacey this Christmas.
The actor shared a photo of himself with co-writer Ruth Jones holding up a script for the new series. He wrote: “Some news… It’s official!!! We have finished writing the last ever episode of Gavin and Stacey. See you on Christmas Day, BBC One. Love Ruth and James.”

On 25th December, viewers could find out if Smithy and Nessa finally get together and what happened on that secret “fishing trip”.
In a statement, the BBC also announced the shows return: “We’ll have: A chicken bhuna, lamb bhuna, prawn bhuna, mushroom rice, bag of chips, keema naan, nine poppadoms and the last ever episode of Gavin and Stacey!!!
“Coming this Christmas Day on BBC One and iPlayer.”
Posting on social, Larry Lamb who plays Gavin’s on screen father said: “Well just to say to everyone who’s asked about another G&S … we just got the word from the BBC this morning… it’s definitely occurrin!!”
