RNLI lifeguards are back for Easter break

LIFEGUARDS employed by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) will be back on Welsh beaches for the easter holiday.
In Wales, the RNLI lifeguard service was first rolled out in Pembrokeshire in 2008 and since then, the charity’s lifeguards have saved 315 lives, aiding 45,595 people through water rescue, returning lost children and delivering first aid and casualty care.
There are over 35 RNLI lifeguarded beaches across Wales, with over 245 beaches across the UK and Channel Islands.
For this Easter holiday, RNLI lifeguards have been completing fitness tests, practising on rescue boards, jet skis and quad bikes, as well as casualty care first aid training.
RNLI lifeguards will be returning to the following Welsh beaches for the Easter holiday:
Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend county borough:
1/ Whitmore Bay (Barry): Friday, 3rd April to Monday, 6th April.
2/ Coney / Sandy Bay: Friday, 3rd April to Monday, 6th April.
3/ Trecco Bay: Friday, 3rd April to Monday, 6th April.
