The Glamorgan Smallholders are making a return visit on 5th June to Gileston Manor during its National Garden Scheme (NGS) charity open day.
Along with home produced products including, soap, jewellery, art, leather work and wool there will also be food stands to tingle your taste buds. There will be fresh vegetables and flowers, dairy, milk and cheese, infused oils and no visit would be complete without the treat of a freshly made, sweet or savoury crepe.
In the market marquee you will find members of the group to answer any agriculture questions you may have and there is space for you to sit and enjoy a coffee, tea or treat yourself to a glass of fizz whilst enjoying the beautiful panoramic view of the channel.
A walk in the landscaped and relaxing grounds is just what’s needed to calm the senses and just to ensure that there is something for everyone, there will be several irresistible smallholder ‘personalities’ (goats, kids and lambs) on hand to explain why rare breeds are so important and give you an insight into life on the holding.
