Wendy’s marathon effort helps Blood Bikes

READERS of the Glamorgan Star may remember that when we reported on the London Marathon, one first-time entrant was our own Wendy Snatchfold, who was raising funds for Blood bikes Wales.

After leaving some time for all the donations to come through, last week she was able to hand over a cheque for £4,100 to the charity.

Wendy said: “I would like to thank everyone for their amazing support during the London Marathon – yes, it was the second hottest ever!

“Every donation, message, and cheer meant the world and helped push me through the toughest miles. Running for Blood Bikes Wales was an absolute privilege and together we made a real difference.

“Training wasn’t easy, but the cause kept me going. Would I do it again? 100% YES…just not in that heat next time! From the bottom of my heart — Thank you.”
