WITH over 30 years in the floristry industry, Nicola, owner of Budding Designs Flower Studio, has a passion and love for flowers and offering quality flowers at competitive prices, using traditional floristry techniques and putting her heart into every order.

Bodywise – almost 30 years of beauty therapy in Barry
IN September 1994, Jackie Howells opened the Bodywise beauty salon.
Initially in the basement of a hairdressers, the business grew and soon needed premises of its own. The salon relocated to its present location at 54 Holton Road and has gone from strength to strength.
Jackie started training to be a beauty therapist 35 years ago and has gained many additional qualifications since then to enhance and expand treatments in the salon. As a skincare specialist, she offers advanced treatments to reduce and remove skin imperfections, including skin tags, milia, blood spots, seborrhoeic keratosis, xanthelasma and red veins.
Lock-down inspired Jackie to study for a PgCE and she is now a qualified Beauty Lecturer. She teaches at local colleges and schools, using her wealth of experience and knowledge to help young people be successful in the beauty industry.
Jackie owes her success to the staff of Bodywise and also to the clients who visit the salon; without them, business would not be possible. There have been many lovely staff at Bodywise over the years, moulding the salon into the success it is today.

Currently, I have Marie jeans in stone, denim and silver. I can understand why they are so popular, they’re so soft and pull on; what could be better?
The Bella and Marie style in the Bengaline are just as good! Also, in cord and velvet for the cooler months ahead! Speaking of which, for those of you who feel the cold, there is also a thermal lined pair! I think you’ll agree they’ve thought of everything!
New season stock is starting to trickle in, lots of lovely new bits! And as well as stocking Robell, I have another new label called Peruzzi. We trailed it in the summer and customers loved it! A lovely brand – feminine with a twist.
