ON Thursday 16th September, the Mayor of Cowbridge with Llanblethian, Cllr Siân Vaughan, and her consort Mr Rob Vaughan attended an RAF event to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain at Cardiff City Hall.
It is now, of course, 81 years, as the event could not take place in 2020. It also marked the official opening of a major historical exhibition on ‘Wales and the Battle of Britain’ and included a ceremonial parade by RAF no4 School of Technical Training MoD St Athan.
The exhibition will now go on tour around Wales. The event concluded with a flypast by the Red Arrows.
